We help climbers build a lifelong approach to training — one that balances performance, health, and longevity in the sport. We combine evidence-based practices with real-world experience to design programs that are effective and practical. Safety, recovery, and long-term development are at the core of everything we do, ensuring that every climber we work with can continue to progress, perform, and enjoy climbing for years to come.
About Me
Adrien Mayost, R. Kin, MHK, BSc. HK
I began my career at the University of Ottawa, where I strength coached for varsity sports programs while completing my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Human Kinetics. This provided experience training athletes at the university, amateur, and professional levels, as well as working with both acute and chronic injuries across a variety of athlete populations.
After starting to climb, I recognized a clear gap between established strength and conditioning practices and the training methods commonly used in climbing. To address this, I founded Impulse Kinesiology in 2021.
Since then, I have worked with climbers competing in IFSC World Cups, athletes preparing for national championships, amateurs achieving high grades outdoors, and recreational climbers aiming to improve their performance and reduce injury risk. My goal is to apply evidence-based training methods, supported by practical experience, to provide climbers with safe, progressive, and effective programs.
